With the arrival of winter is the time to take care of our outboard motors to extend their life and ensure a smooth next season.

We are now offering complete maintenance kits in a range of Suzuki outboards.
Each kit has the full range of original Suzuki parts required for the Suzuki outboard service in accordance with the periodic maintenance schedule detailed in the owner’s manual.

At this time of year we are in the winter season, taking advantage of the winterization work and maintenance of the outboard motors, to have the boat and engine ready for the next season.

For proper care of the outboard motor, Suzuki recommends scheduled maintenance (at least one per year) to check and replace the main engine wear parts. Ensuring in this way a satisfactory use of the engine, during the next season, thus offering our customers the best service.

For this reason we remind you that there are these maintenance kits, which include the necessary parts for each motor maintenance.

SMALL CHANGES, GREAT DIFFERENCES

Parts and components of a Suzuki engine to maintain and revise:

WATER SEPARATOR
Water separator features a removable transparent container for easy visualization of fuel status and a drain valve for water and other impurities.
FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY
The fuel filter prevents waste or water in the fuel from entering the engine. They should be replaced according to the program in the Owner’s Manual.
MOTOR OIL
Regular oil changes keep your engine clean, reduce wear and prevent internal corrosion.
GEAR OIL
Regular replacement of gear oil is important.
The lower unit of your outboard works under severe conditions and eventually the lubricating effectiveness of the gear oil can fail.
OIL FILTER
A contaminated oil filter can no longer filter impurities, which can cause engine damage and increased bearing wear.
SPARK PLUG
Spark plug deterioration can cause poor motor performance, poor starting and performance, and increased emissions.
ANODE
The anodes help protect your outboard from corrosion. If they are not maintained or replaced regularly, galvanic corrosion will damage the aluminum components under water.
PROPELLER
It is important to maintain your propeller for optimum efficiency and performance. Simply remove it, check for damage, replace if necessary and re-apply grease to the slot before reinstalling it.
