The Suzuki DF250AP is powered by a DOHC 6-cylinder, 4,028 cc engine with 6 valves per cylinder.
It is equipped with a driveshaft offset with respect to the crankshaft, which allows a first reduction between the crankshaft and the driveshaft and a second reduction between the driveshaft and the gearbox inside the foot. This mechanism allows the mounting of large diameter propellers to maximize the propulsive efficiency of the engine. It also moves the center of gravity forward, giving the engine greater balance, less vibration and greater stability while driving.

Multiple engines require engines with opposite rotations to cancel the drift caused by propeller rotation.
The DF250AP features the Suzuki Selective Rotation system, which has a special “selective” foot capable of rotating the propeller to the left or right as needed without altering its efficiency.
To obtain the counter-rotating version it is sufficient to replace a connector in the motor wiring and the adoption of a suitable propeller.
