SELF-ADJUSTABLE TIMING CHAIN

The DF40A and DF50A outboards are unique in that they incorporate this timing chain. The self-adjusting timing chain is featured on all models in the range. It is lubricated in oil and incorporates a hydraulic tensioning system that keeps it adjusted at all times, so it does not need maintenance.
